MA Photography & Urban Cultures Goldsmiths Group Show (2023)
In my first year of my masters degree, we organised a group exhibition at Four Corners gallery in Bethnal Green. I exhibited the last part of my Victoria Market project.
Victoria Market (2020)
This video was produced for the ‘Real Creative Futures Digital’ spotlight programme run by The New Art Exchange over the lockdown period. In this video Rohan provides an exploration into Victoria market through photography, and the effects of COVID-19 on markets. Rohan's work thinks about how social research can be approached through the lens of photography and this particular projects aims to capture the authenticity of the market and identity of the stall owners.
Reading to Recovery (2019)
This short film aims to show how communities can aid in the Recovery Journey . It is a film of hope and inspiration in the face of adversity . It shows how people using substances can make optimum use of community facilities such as a Community Library to benefit the wider community and also aid others in their Recovery thus making Recovery visible , challenging the stigma of homeless people who are in Recovery and who have overcome barriers in order to progress their journey .
Lee Ayres is the founder of " Lee's Book Club ", he is in active recovery and decided to start the Book Club in order to benefit others in the community . Lee has been without a home for 6 years and is an avid reader, he has sponsorship from Penguin Books and is currently writing his own book on his experiences of homelessness and substance use.
Graham Murney is also in active recovery, he attends the Book Club and is a very talented illustrator and has started his own children's book with his own illustrations .
Matthew Vaughn is a manager of the Library and co author of Lee's book, he hosts the Book Club at Westcoates Library.
